Hi CSI+ Members! Welcome back to another meet the member interview. This edition we will be joined by Andreas Krenzen, CEO of Njords Ark A/S.

What do you do at Njords Ark and in what circumstances would I come to you for something?
We deliver the loose furniture onboard the ships. You would come to us to get the project delivered as specified, in time and with a lower headache.

Has your company got any upcoming projects that you can talk about?
We just delivered 8 containers of balcony furniture for 3 MSC ships + NCL Viva outdoor public areas.

What has been your favourite project to work on?
MS the World and MSC world Europe.

What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to?
Risk willingness and guesstimates.

Could you share the most significant obstacle you have faced in your career so far, particularly in cruise work?
We started the company during covid.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I lived in Japan for a year and learned the language and culture.

What are the most significant changes you have seen in the Cruise Interior sector since you started, and what emerging trends do you foresee shaping its future?
Seen changes come and go but the industry is definitely going in a more premium and luxurious direction.

If you could recommend only one of your products, what would it be?
Balcony chairs – the roughest area on the ship.

What kind of questions do you ask before beginning a project, and which piece of information is of utmost value in planning a successful project?
Delivery date, scope, expectations, terms and warranty.

What role does sustainability play in your company? How do you incorporate environmentally friendly practices and materials?
Case by case. We generally go for the least toxic production that meats the durability requirements.

Thanks for your time Andreas!
