Mantas Dubavičius, CCO of AROS Marine
Tell me about your role with the company?
Aros Marine specialises in new build and refurbishment projects. We provide interior services & HVAC solutions for various types of vessels, such as cruise, ferry, expeditions, Ro- Pax and superyachts. Our team has perfected a service delivery system where every client’s need is well taken care of.
I am not a usual CCO as I overlook sales, marketing, design & engineering, and estimation teams. I also take care of Aros Marine business development. So my role is very complex. My main goal is to show what people are capable of & of course to create an environment for new ideas and improvements. Keeping in mind that our main focus is to fulfil clients needs.
What has been your favourite project to work on?
Team building is my biggest passion and project for the past 2 years. I have so many different people in my team & each of them are very talented in different ways. So I have to find a way to develop their individual skills and create an environment where they can reach their potential or even build the career they never thought they could.
What do you love about the Cruise Interiors industry?
Constantly changing environment. Close community. Strong connection between customers, suppliers and even competitors.
How do you like to spend your time when you’re not working?
Fishing is my number one activity to fill my inner energy and definitely the best instrument for stress relief. Also I believe that it is very important to keep your mind fit. Research shows that involvement in activities like reading books or learning a new language improves cognitive function. So during the lock down I got back into learning – French language.
What’s your favourite genre of music?
Vinyl is my new passion. I started with Christmas songs & now experimenting with different genres. It is a very calming activity after a long day at work.
