Hey #CSIPlus Community! Some of you would have had the pleasure of meeting Nery Moreira Garcia last week at Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe, and for those that didn’t, please join us for our next #CSIPlus Meet the Member Interview!

What do you do at your company and in what circumstances would I come to you for something?
“As the Sales Manager, I oversee all incoming inquiries to ensure each potential opportunity is addressed promptly and effectively. I am also responsible for the comprehensive account management of our entire customer portfolio, maintaining strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions. For any flooring-related challenges or questions, I am your primary point of contact, dedicated to providing expert guidance and support throughout the process.”

What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?
“Many people mistakenly view business trips as mini holidays; however, they require significant time, focus, and effort due to client visits, travel, and the demands of the job.”

Does your company have any upcoming projects that you can talk about?
“Several key projects completed and upcoming for Aros Marine, specialising in the cruise industry.”

What has been your favourite project to work on? Cruise work preferred!
“Supplying 1500 m2 of carpet tiles for a ferry in the Mediterranean.”

What behaviour or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?
“It might sound like a cliché, but I genuinely aim for win-win solutions. I’m not your typical sales manager—I combine exceptional customer service, sincere kindness, and a strong commitment to cultivating long-term partnerships. In an industry where relationships are key, I take pride in being both a trusted advisor and a dedicated professional focused on serving my clients.”

What inspired you to pursue this field of work?
“I was inspired by the fact that this industry truly has no borders. It’s global, dynamic, and rooted in human connection, exactly the kind of environment I thrive in.”

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
“I am a good voice imitator, so you can challenge me on that :-)”

What are the most significant changes you have seen in the Cruise Interior sector since you started, and what emerging trends do you foresee shaping its future?
“This must be the sustainability aspect integrated in the cruise interior sector. Which will only grow in the future.”

Do you have a fun fact or piece of advice about your company/industry that you can share?
“Flooring might be the last thing installed, but it’s the first thing people notice. Never underestimate the power of a strong foundation!”

Do you specialise in a particular type of product? What makes it different to competitors?
“What differentiates us from our competitors is that we specialise in complete flooring solutions, covering everything from the steel deck to the final floor finishing. We combine this expertise with supplying subflooring, adhesives, and other supporting materials, allowing us to offer ready-to-install flooring packages that are IMO-certified. This comprehensive approach ensures quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the entire flooring process, making us a trusted partner in the maritime industry.”

If you could recommend only one of your products, what would it be?
“Amtico Marine, it is a fantastic collection, and we are an exclusive partner.”

What kind of questions do you ask before beginning a project, and which piece of information is of utmost value in planning a successful project?
“Before starting a project, I ask questions to fully understand the client’s goals, budget, timeline, and any specific challenges or requirements they may have. I also inquire about their expectations for the final outcome and how success will be measured. The most valuable piece of information is a clear understanding of the client’s needs and priorities, as this guides all planning and decision-making to ensure the project delivers the best possible results.”

What role does sustainability play in your company? How do you incorporate environmentally friendly practices and materials?
“Sustainability is a core value for us. We work exclusively with high-end manufacturers who prioritise environmentally friendly practices and materials that comply with IMO regulations. This ensures that our products not only meet but exceed international maritime environmental standards, supporting a cleaner and more sustainable future for the industry.”

What goals have you met so far in 2025? Or, what goals/milestones are you working to meet this year?
“This year, we are happy to welcome Aros Marine as our valued customer. A key player in the cruise industry. Next to that, we are working on a very exclusive new product range which we will unveil later this year.”

Thanks for joining us for a great interview and for also joining us at Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe last week. We can’t wait to welcome the team to future #CSIPlus events.
