Happy Friday #CSIPlus Community! Welcome back to another #CSIPlus Meet the Member Interview, this time we are joined by Farrah Durosel, B2B Marketing Strategist at Bath Fitter Commercial.
What do you do at your company and in what circumstances would I come to you for something?
“I’m a B2B Marketing strategist. We oversee brand strategy, content , social media, media strategy & planning, but also support on National Events for the B2B team.”
What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?
“People often think I am a graphic designer, I give them direction, I do not design.”
Has your company got any upcoming projects that you can talk about?
“We always have exciting upcoming projects; we can’t talk about just yet!”
What has been your favourite project to work on?
“One of my favourite projects was developing our website, BathFitterCommercial.com. It gave us a platform to showcase the incredible work we do across industries, but what really excites me is how it highlights our marine solutions team. Cruise ship bathrooms are a world of their own — the challenges, the scale, the creativity required. Being able to share their expertise, images, and stories online not only celebrates their work but also helps the cruise industry see what’s possible.”
What behaviour or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?
“I’d say curiosity is the trait that’s been the biggest driver of my success. In this industry, every project comes with unique challenges — whether it’s renovating a cruise ship bathroom on a tight turnaround or helping a housing authority stretch their budget without compromising quality. Curiosity pushes me to ask questions, dig deeper, and really understand what our clients need beyond the obvious. That constant desire to learn and adapt has helped me and our team deliver better outcomes, project after project.”
Could you share the most significant obstacle you have faced in your career so far, particularly in cruise work? Or, have you ever encountered any problems in cruise work that required you to learn a new skillset?
“One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in cruise work is simply being able to showcase the quality of what we do. Cruise ship bathrooms are incredibly compact, and the spaces are tight — which makes it hard to capture the full scope of the craftsmanship in photos or presentations. Unlike a hotel or multifamily project, you can’t just walk into a wide room and immediately see the transformation. You have to get creative about how you document and share the work — using different angles, before-and-after comparisons, or even storytelling from the crew who experience the difference every day. It’s taught me that sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t the installation itself, but finding ways to help others truly see the value of the work in such a unique environment.”
What inspired you to pursue this field of work?
“I’ve been passionate about marketing from a young age — I was always fascinated by how great campaigns could connect with people and tell a story. From the start, I knew I wanted to be part of that world, helping brands communicate their value and make an impact.”
Do you specialise in a particular type of product? What makes it different to competitors?
“We specialize in bathroom renovations with our PermaFIt™ Solutions for tubs and showers, designed specifically for crew cabins and guest staterooms. What sets us apart is our speed and flexibility — we can renovate up to 20 staterooms in a single day while the ship remains in operation. Plus, our team is experienced in handling all conditions, whether in dry dock or at sea, ensuring high-quality results no matter the environment.”
